The Great Rock And Roll Climate Change Swindle

It would seem that Muse were declared the "Best act in the world today" at this afternoon's Q Awards in London.

As befits such a prestigious honour, they turned up in person at the Grosvenor Hotel to pick it up. Here they are on the red carpet.

Which is quite amazing considering they played Oslo last night, and are due to perform in Copenhagen this evening. That's some serious high carbon footprint jetting around, right there.

Is this really the same band who pulled out of the Wembley Live Earth gig to avoid being accused of hypocrisy?

Frontman Matt revealed there might be a scheduling problem for the band, which could determine whether they take part or not:

"There's an issue. We've got a gig that same day in Ireland, so we need to work out if we can make it or not, that's basically what it depends on."

The band laughed off suggestions of 'doing a Phil Collins' and chartering a jet or helicopter to ensure they can take part:

"Private jets for climate change?! Not sure about that! That seems a bit on the edge to me. That's actually the issue to be honest, so we need to think about it."

And the same band who are fully behind the Eden Project's 'Edge' campaign?

Muse And Pulp Unite For Climate Change Campaign

Muse and Pulp are among a number of bands who have come together to help build a visionary new centre to tackle the issue of climate change.

I think it is, you know.

Now, either they're just not very good at this climate change activist lark, or they're milking the global warming bandwagon for all the publicity and benefit that can be derived from it.

Gongs all round.

Or, the can expect never to be called on it by our supine, lapdog MSM...

Good catch!

The Eden Project is in fact the marketing arm of the nuclear industry.

FFS, I love Muse and have seen them loads of times, but they have now started on the slippery slope....

....and their new single is downright dire too.

I blame George Harrison and that bloody awful and interminable Concert for Bangladesh. Everytime a cause du jour rears it's head the pop musicians declare their undying love for the cause and constantly beg their fans to "give us your fuckin' money". In fact, the talentless prick that is Bob Geldoff has been dining out on his Ethiopian famine project for years.
