If this is true, it's an extremely damning statistic.

... then there must have been almost as large a corresponding increase in heart attacks amongst non-smokers since March 2006.Wasn't the whole point of the exercise to protect non-smokers from passive smoke?
More big, fat, epic fail for smoking bans, then.
