I've read the "Why French parents are superior" piece in the WSJ a few days ago and it made me wonder. I'm a French parent and I discover that 1) being able to say "no" to a kid and 2) giving them meals instead of keeping the fridge open are more or less revolutionnary ideas in the US.
So this otherwise very fine country that has lectured the rest of us about health for three decades seems to have forgotten at the same time what a normal lifestyle looks like. Interesting.
