Us Versus Them

The Welsh Assembly recently held a public consultation on their 'public health' white paper, and the results are now in!

Well, they're officially called 'public' consultations but - as I've mentioned many times previously - these would be better described as public sector consultations. Most of the public don't know they are even happening but fake charities, state-funded bodies and quangos are paid from our taxes to write responses to them.

This one is no different, which you can see for yourself by reading the whole thing here. Except for one particular question, that is.

This is a result of 64.6% of the 525 answers having been submitted by the public. Novel, huh? What's more, it doesn't include another 279 which weren't received by the deadline - if they had, the percentage would have been 86% against the stupid proposal.

It should be the end of Drakeford's nonsense, shouldn't it? I mean, if you ask the public a question in a democracy and they overwhelmingly tell you to go boil your head, that's pretty final.

But just you watch them wriggle away from such an inconvenient statistic, because there are signs in the document that they're already working on it.

Things like because the majority of the answers against are simular they must be industry related and should be ignored or something. Things like that!!!

Then yes I believe you are right.

That's precisely what they hint at, boy you read it quick!

But, of course, despite the fact that local authorities and health boards did the same - and even colluded with each other - they will be given the utmost respect. They barely try to hide the contempt these days.

I saw the PDF earlier. But it was the overall impression of the document. My brain gets fuzzy when presented with this kind of reading. But it does leave an impression/feeling if you like.

ALso when 50 is negative and 20 positive they point to the 20 not the 50 is what gives it away of course (example numbers).

whatever doesn't fit must be the result of astroturfing ... and can be ignored. Conceited fools.

And for question 6 and 7 Not specified number??? WTF If people answered Q5 they would have answered those questions.

Well we saw how much weight was given to the public consultation on Plain Packaging - why should this be any different?

Frankly, I don't know why they go through the charade of public consultations. They totally ignore them anyway.

The 'public' just don't know what's best for them, so it has to come down to wiser minds in 'Public Health' to make those decisions for them. The poor, confused dears who took part in the poll probably didn't understand the question.

I do like how the General Public come last on the list on the "consultation".

If you don't get the answer you want, just keep asking until you do - at which point it become 'irreversible'

A trick learnt from the EU.

We have written, commented voted in the polls - this little guy couldn't give a shite; Aneurin Bevan is spinning in his grave - he'd have bitten your hand off for the chance to cut the rate of SRD in Wales. He was a real socialist - I can't think of any label that fits these pathetic apologies for politicians because they represent no-one, they serve no-one and they benefit no-one - apart from the Multinationals of course.

Well Mr P, you and I will both be in the same room tomorrow night and I have some insights into this whole affair that I cannot put into words here. Let's just say that some of the AM's I have been meeting have provided me with a lot of food for thought. I can and I will defeat Drakeford. Besides, Labour are spent as a serious force in Wales. The populace has seen through them and I cannot wait for 2016 when they are after our votes again.

Like your determination, all power to you. :)

Of course we do, we are nothing more than a minor irritant to these shysters. They do what they must to give the right impression, but just like political parties at election time, they have the one manifesto to win votes, then tear that up and bring out the real one, once in power! It's all just one huge con!
