Let us hope the story makes page 1 on newspapers around the world, although I fear it will take more than international embarrassment and ridicule to affect the UK's current problems

That is a very strange article. ATM skimming, missing passports, the whole thing is a string of non-sequiturs. And this gem -

But, given the inevitable cooling in relations, the feline quantities are likely to remain a mystery.
