John Britton, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and director of its tobacco advisory group, said: “The bar code looks like the bottom half of a packet of Marlboro cigarettes. I was stunned when I saw it. This is pushing at the limits.”Well, the credulous twonk is now urging the EU to get on with publishing their Tobacco Products Directive as a matter of urgency after the resignation of John Dalli.
I would hope that the Tobacco Products Directive could go out to consultation as soon as possible because we need to see what was proposed and be able to comment and maybe adapt it if there’s anything in there that could be improved.Err, John. Mate. The consultation was nearly two years ago. Did you miss it? It was very well documented at the time, and the responses reported widely. The directive is the result of the consultation and, thus, not adaptable or amenable to improvement. It's kinda why it's called a "directive", as in 'an order'.
Are you not paid quite a lot of money to notice rather large details like that?
