Chav And Chavvier

Doesn't this snapshot of British society just make you want to weep?

A sandwich bar worker was sacked after footage of him stuffing lettuce leaves up his nose - before he put them back in their serving tray - was posted on YouTube.

Nothing like taking a job seriously, is there?

Bloody stupid, undoubtedly, and well worth instant dismissal (Subway aren't in the Public Sector, so it's allowed), but I'm going to take a deep breath, count to ten, and not comment on the fact that this was considered a prisonable offence.

An obviously classy ... ahem ... lady, saw this video and was angry about it. So she immediately alerted environmental health officers and wrote a stinking letter to the company acted.

The irate woman went to a branch of Subway in Brownhills, West Midlands, and hurled a chair at him ...

Lovely.

I see the guy's been done for contaminating or interfering with goods with intent to cause "economic loss, alarm or injury". Which, exactly ?

Sackable offence, undoubtedly. Punishable by imprisonment? Dude, WTF.

I never go for the lettuce in Subway anyway. In fact I completely fail to see the point of lettuce.

Agreed it's not remotely an imprisonable offence.

Hmmm, totally disgusting yes.
I usually judge these things in terms of what I would do to a person if I saw them doing something like this with what could possibly be my food.

Prisonable?
Possibly. I certainly would be looking to break at least a couple of bones for this. That's got to be worth a couple of months I think.

" 300 hours of unpaid work for the community."
Utter utter piss taking fucktard. He deserves good solid gaol time alongside all the rapists and muggers.
Not for snotting up the lettuce but as a lesson to all the back-kitchen staff who gob in our food just for calling the waiter a cunt.
