Fancy a night out in Mansfield? Nah, me neither.
Drinkers in Mansfield are facing random drug tests before being allowed into the town's pubs and clubs.
Nottinghamshire police will take swabs to test for a range of drugs, including cocaine and cannabis, as part of the initiative.
Personally, I'd reply with a firm, but polite, not on your fucking nelly.
People who refuse the tests will be searched.
Quite. Un. Fucking. Believable.
Licensing officer Dougie Gardner said the aim of the scheme was to curb late-night disorder and violence in the town.
Nothing like blowing the cobwebs away of a weekend and forgetting the pressures of this dictatorial country, is there? And that is nothing like ... well, you get the gist.

The situation requires a large crowd of dissidents to go down to Mansfield and declare they do not give their consent. They have not broken any laws!
And the legal basis for this is ? Aha, as part of your contract with the club allowing entry to the premises.
What a bunch of cunting fucks.
Cheers for the recommendation DP.
I was thinking earlier that this is another part of The War On Pubs. Too many people are still congregating even after the smoking ban. It needs to be stopped somehow........
Ye Gods, utter bastards.
What a freaking joke!
What's disheartening is that everyone in the video happily complied with the test, in much the same way, it seems to me, that smokers happily agree to have their hands stamped if they leave a club for a ciggie.
If you were to remonstrate by deciding not to go into the pub, would that constitute refusal to be tested? If you then refused to be searched what could happen? Do the police still need reasonable grounds to take further action or would they just apply the legislation that allows for detention without charge?
Jay
Dick, have you ever been to Mansfield?
It makes downtown Kampala look positively civilised.
Pause that video 25 seconds in and then compare it to the picture of Rebecca Adlington in the Mail..
