A Not-So-Bright Future

Good news for those of us who believe in children being taught discipline.

Children brought up according to "tough love" principles are more successful in life, according to a study.

According to the report, qualities such as application, self-regulation and empathy were more likely to be developed in children whose parents employed a "tough love" approach.

Just don't let the police or local council prodnoses know you are doing so.

A mother who threatened to smack her children while out shopping was secretly followed home by an off duty policeman and was later questioned by officers.

The 34-year-old woman, who has asked to remain anonymous for the sake of her family, was also warned by social services that she could face further action and that a file on the incident is being kept on record.

Our future is truly fucked.

I would have felt bad enough if she had actually smacked the child - but all that becasue she threatened to? Quite ridiculous.

If I wasn't already drinking I'd bloody well need one after that shit. There's just no sense in these people.

Here I am, sat at work in my dressing-gown and half way through a bottle of vodka and even I can see that..

..Oh fuck it. What's the point..?

I'd lay odd that off duty plod would have 'turned a blind eye' if the mother was dressed in the Islamists favourite head to toe woman cover.

'Reported by off duty plod' - bet the c*nt has added it to his list of 'successes' & ticked boxes though. Much easier than tackling a yob or burglar for Mr Jobsworth Plod. As he was off duty why doesn't she report him for stalking her?

Does that mean that even not paying Plod isn't enough to stop them. Or would it be possible he retroactively gets put on duty for the time he is doing this "work".

That's a very interesting question, Neil. And no matter the answer, it's not a good sign.
