It's Not Targeting Kids If WE Do It

Blackpool stop smoking service don't seem to like e-cigs very much. Their Twitter feed seizes upon any negative news as soon as it is spotted so is festooned with scaremongering articles.

They also recently unveiled their new advert.

Or, in other words, "don't use a nicotine inhaler you bought yourself without salaried help ...use one which we are paid by the state to give you for free!".

But, err, haven't they nicked the idea from somewhere?

Well, yes they have, but I'm sure Johnson & Johnson - makers of Nicorette - are no doubt right now compiling cease and desist letters aimed at Blackpool SSS for their blatant plagiarism, eh?

Interestingly, the Amazon page advertising this product offers some usage advice.
Directions: For adults and children 12 years and over.
So with all the 'glitzy' packaging, pretty colours and nice minty flavours which kids love, how better for Blackpool SSS to advertise their services than with cuddly toys and bouncy castles, eh?

Because nicotine isn't dangerous and needn't be hidden away from kids if the state is paying Big Pharma for it.

Dear Mr Puddlecote

They have to get their future smokers from somewhere. If all adults stopped and no kids started they'd be out of a job, and the best way to get children hooked is to tell them over and over again that they must not smoke.

It has been suggested before that anti-smokers may be secretly funded by Big Tobacco; they are certainly doing a great job of advertising and promoting tobacco in a way which directly appeals to children, glitzy colours, balloons and all.

Meanwhile they are more openly funded by Big Pharma and Big Government. Being paid thrice to do the job once can't be bad. Bet they're all looking forward to their annual jolly to that nice Mr Putin's country.

That Fun-day looks bloody hilarious - that's what you get if you quit the nicotine. As a vaper I will avoid that trap and never, ever reduce my nic intake, I have also avoided the carpet-chewing hell of withdrawal symptoms - hope Blackpool realises that 4 x 0 still equals zero. and I thought it was Stop Smoking Services, not Stop Nicotine - when will they sort themselves out???

That's just it - they don't know or can't work out the difference between nicotine and smoking! That is why their services are no good to anyone!

It is not just the intake of the smoke/vapor and nicotine, is also the actual act of smoking, the regulating of the breathing which is helps to reduce stress and also helps some asthmatics from having a really bad attack.

Trouble is, their skulls are so bloody thick we need a jackhammer to even start to penetrate them!

Like many in government, these parasites are only interested in preserving their fat salaries and luxury lifestyles, they don't really give 2 hoots about whether or not anyone smokes, except as stated above by DP, they need to keep people smoking as well to keep their jobs!

The whole thing is a scam and, as usual, it is the ordinary folk that always suffer the most.

And don't forget how baiting the constantly nagging "You must not! It's bad for you!" is for any teenage rebel. Forbidden fruits.

I still remember how all the fuzz about pot had triggered my curiosity back then. When I had a chance to try it, the experience was rather disappointing. Nothing anyway near what all the scaremongering had suggested.

And the little girl in the front looks like it's already training smoking moves ...

Ban putting finger to the mouth!
This motion could renormalise smoking!

Yes, I had a WTF? moment when I read that in the Daily Telegraph this morning.

They are really, truly scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Of course, the positive aspect of all this stupidity over e-cigs is that even the brainwashed masses are starting to wonder just how expert these 'experts' are when they spout unmitigated nonsense like this. I've said from the start that the advent of the e-cig could well be the undoing of Tobacco Control, and the way things are going, it looks like I may be right. I sincerely hope so...

I,too, sincerely hope so. It is more than time that someone or something popped their tax payer funded bubble!

Somebody must have noticed how absurd this "Funday" picture was. They removed it ...

Reckon they were probably more scared that they hadn't asked permission from the kid's parents before throwing it online. It's what happens when arrogance, stupidity and a long-term superiority complex combines. ;)
