So, preliminary haggling has been overcome, and the day when I hope that absolutely everyone on a panel show loses, has arrived.
And Nick Griffin has been handed, on a silver platter, all the ammunition he needs.
As 'quote bingo' games go, "Britain is overcrowded" is a gimme.
UK population 'to rise to 71.6m'
Just over two-thirds of the increase is likely to be related directly or indirectly to migration to the UK.
If the projected increase materialises, the population will have grown at its fastest rate in a century.
How about "censorship of legal political parties"? It's a possibility.
But Mr Hain said the BBC had "made one of the biggest mistakes in its proud history".
The reciprocal question "Who are the real fascists?" has an outside chance.
Mr Hain will also send a message of support to the UAF rally, which is being held in central London.
And no points whatsoever for predicting the ridiculously erroneous accusation of "extreme right wing" towards a hideously lefty collectivist party.
I'll plump for an outside wager that Dimbleby is quoted after the event describing the show as the "lowest part of my political career" or some such. A lazy fiver on that at a good price appeals.
Wine in the fridge, check; munchies, check; big fat 'happy days' cigar, check. Roll on 10:35pm - let's just hope all participants are amply provided with barbed wire encrusted baseball bats prior to cameras rolling.

Don't forget he's now been banned from freely entering the house of Lords in a stupid early day motion by John Mann Labour MP.
*Commons - sorry
Wine, munchies, cigar - bliss, so why go
and ruin the experience by watching crap?
Usually the combined intelligence level of the panel is below that of an individual gnat.
I'm going with "You wanna fuck with me? Okay. You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend!"
I am really looking forward to tonight (if they havn't found some last minute elf'n'safety clause in the meantime).
So let me just remind myself. The predictable, tired, well worn QT is going to be potentially interesting for a change. An MEP, voted in democratically, who leads a party with some rather extreme policies with a hint of some past despots is one of the guests. So we get a chance to hear from the man himself an explanation of some rather suspect ideals.
Wait a minute though. Those already wearing the mantle of 'public approval' don't want that. They only want to people to hear what they say he says. I am not for one moment suggesting that they exaggerate or use scaremongering, surely not.
Well, I hope it goes ahead as planned. NG is bound to be asked about race and women and homosexuals - I want to hear what HE says.
Can we have [horrified silence from audience] and [boos and hisses from audience] and [embarrassed silence when audience secretly agrees] every time Nick G says something, on the Bingo Card?
And maybe "unlawfully constituted"? "Equality" and "diversity" have got to be dead certs.
I'm also going for "What you lookin' at? You all a bunch of fuckin' assholes. You know why? You don't have the guts to be what you wanna be? You need people like me. You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy! Come on. The last time you gonna see a bad guy like this again, let me tell you. Come on. Make way for the bad guy. There's a bad guy comin' through! Better get outta his way!"
Someone stick it on YouTube please. BBC iPlayer gives us outside the UK a polite fuck off, and I'm hoping to see Nick Griffen revealed as (a) a xenophobic twat, and (b) otherwise much the same as the old left types in the Laborg party.
AE: (b) is about right. Griffin's biographer says NG describes himself as a Strasserite, that is to say, deeply opposed to capitalism. So, right wing my arris.
MW: Diversity & equality - of course! D'oh, how could I have possibly forgotten them?
And now a bunch of headcases have broken in to the BBC. Yeah, make the fascist look moderate and reasonable. That'll help.
I hope someone's going to be live-blogging this, since I don't have a TV.
Tory Bear is doing something along those lines, Frank.
I hate Labour so much that I'd feel a warm glow if Griffin elicited the embarrassed silence of secret approval and Labour no applause.
Jay
This is my problem too, Jay. I'm not keen on Griffin in the slightest, but I'm Labourist. I hate the fuckers with a passion.
I'd like to see the audience pelt them all with rotten fruit and curare-tipped darts.
It is an insult to the million people that voted for the BNP that there has even been discussion about an appearance on the T.V.
If people vote for them and they gain seats then they are a legal political party.
I don't agree with all their views, but then again I don't agree with ANY of Nu Labour views and not many of Cameroon's bunches views either.
DP, yep, I think the left like to label them extreme right as an anti-Tory thing and to try to put pissed off Laborg voters off giving the BNP protest votes. Also Laborg sometimes like to define themselves in terms of what they're not. NuLaborg is left of centre and is officially not racist, while the BNP are racist and ergo must not be left wing but right wing. The fact that when you strip the racist crap out of the BNP you get left with something that wouldn't look out of place on a Laborg manifesto from the 1980s is something they'd rather not dwell on.
I'd like to see the audience pelt them all with rotten fruit and curare-tipped darts.
Curare? You going soft or something DP? Scorpions on the nipples and box jellyfish down the Y fronts... much better.
I was speechless when Straw said that he disagreed with Frank Field because to cap immigration would be authoritarian!!! My jaw dropped further when he said that we had to respect people's differences (think he was referring to homosexuality) - yeah, as long as they're not smokers, publicans wanting to run their businesses as they see fit, small shopkeepers ditto, drinking more than the state-approved limits for this week, failing to eat their five a day, not eating salt, not....
And I'm sick of everyone (or at least the cherry-picked audience on QT) railing against the use of the term 'indigenous' and pretending not to understand. You can't on the one hand talk about 'ethnic minorities' but deny that there's an indigenous population, it's everyone who isn't a member of an ethnic minority, for God's sake!
Have to say, though, what a peculiar character Nick Griffin is - decidedly creepy.
Jay
Griffin was caned out of sight (which anyone clever could have foreseen). What on earth was the fuss about? The UAF were protesting about their nemesis being humiliated on the BBC. Not too bright, are they?
Jay, there were some deliciously hypocritical quotes tonight like the one you pointed out, not only from Jack Straw, but also from Chris Huhne.
They're definitely worth pointing out somewhere. I dunno, maybe a blog might pick them up if we're lucky. ;-)
I was astounded at one point when they said about the BNP being a party who promoted fear and hatred of minorities.
What a bunch of hypocrites.
Basically, what Jay said.
